10 Things You Need to Know About the Lake Waubeeka Access Control System

Our community's access control gates have been in place for 7 years. Please note the following information about the access control system.
  1. All requests for codes, access control passes or telephone numbers must be submitted on standard forms available at the Access Control Request boxes located at the exit gate. The Board reserves the right to deny codes.
  2. Anyone requesting a code for a contractor, a nurse, cleaning service or other regular vendor must fill out a copy of the Access Control Agreement. The agreement can be obtained at our website or by calling 798-1183 and leaving your name and the address to which it should be sent.
  3. Tenants who wish to have their names included on the Guest Gate dialer must provide a copy of their current lease to the Access Control Committee at 147 Post Road. Lease information will be kept confidential.
  4. Tenants may NOT request wave passes from the Access Control Committee; only landlords can purchase additional passes. Landlords are responsible for re-collecting passes from tenants at the end of the lease term.
  5. The number of passes that any homeowner may possess is limited by the access control system's capacity. The Board reserves the right to deny additional passes to any homeowner who already has been issued more than five passes.
  6. Travellers using the Guest Lane can either use a wave pass or find a resident's name on the dialer using the UP or DOWN arrows. When your name is found (highlighted) the CALL button must be pressed to dial your telephone number. Alternatively, if they know your CODE NUMBER they can dial your number by entering that code using the keypad.
  7. When the dialer rings your phone you must press "9" to raise the gate. The dialer will hang up immediately after you press "9".
  8. Please inform your guests that they SHOULD NOT call you using their cell phones. Only the dialer call works.
  9. The number of passes that any resident may posses are strictly limited by the security system’s capacity. The Board reserves the right to deny additional passes to any homeowner who already possesses more than five (5) functioning passes.
  10. Please don’t wave, wag, flutter, shake or gesture with your passes! The thick “permanent” passes are meant to be affixed to your windshield. The thin “touch” passes must be swiped against the readers in either lane in order to open the gate.
